HSIB have recently published a ‘COVID-19 transmission in hospitals: a prospective safety investigation’ report. This prospective patient safety investigation looks at how the healthcare system operates to minimise the likelihood of patients catching coronavirus (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19) on acute hospital wards.
